Root Canal Treatment
What is a root canal?
When a tooth is infected or decayed, a root canal may be recommended. The tooth can become infected causing decay, infection, and sensitivity to the tooth's outer layers, nerves, and dental pulp. With intense pain and temperature sensitivity, a root canal may be required to remove the damaged tissue and medicate the tooth. The tooth may then be treated with a cap or crown to protect it.
When is a root canal recommended?
If you are having tooth pain and sensitivity to hot and cold foods and drinks, a root canal may be recommended. Our dentists may take x-rays, examine the tooth, and prepare a course of treatment to give you a pain-free root canal.
